"The best birders aren't just checking off lists — they're building a record of every outing, every season, every habitat they've come to know."

SYSTEM.LOGFrom Sky to Field
Bird Log grew out of the same philosophy that built Sky Log — the idea that nature hobbies deserve tools that match the way practitioners actually think. Birders don't just take photos. They work through field guides, build life lists, track seasonal patterns, and revisit the same habitats year after year as their skills sharpen.
The Platform
Every sighting in Bird Log lives inside a field guide — backyard birds, raptors, songbirds, shorebirds, waterfowl — not just a photo gallery. Progress through a guide updates automatically as you log species. Coming back to the same spot in a different season and spotting new species is tracked side by side.
The community in The Field reflects that same mindset: people sharing sightings they've earned, with the context that makes them meaningful — the location, the conditions, the patience it took.
Part of Field Log
Bird Log is part of the Field Log family of nature platforms. Sky Log covers astrophotography, Bird Log covers birding, and Sea Log covers marine biology. All three share the same account system and the same commitment to field-guide-first organization.
They're separate apps, built around the same idea: the natural world is worth taking seriously.
